Tee off in the heart of Europe with the Darlings of the Danube Golf Cruise, a luxury river cruise designed for players who appreciate the game, and the journey. Accompanied by the ship’s onboard golf pro, golfers will play 18 holes at each featured golf club and can bring personal clubs or we will arrange rental on site. Use of golf carts can be arranged for a fee. After each game, a drink is included at the “19th Hole”. Additional drinks and food can be purchased separately.
Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or a casual duffer, if driving, putting, and chipping excite you and your favorite color is green, then this river cruise escape is for you! Travel along the legendary Danube with a golf pro and play 18 holes in five remarkable cities along the way. Embark in Passau, where the Inn, Ilz, and Danube Rivers meet, then play your first round in Linz. Play additional rounds in Vienna, Atzenbruck, and Esztergom, with an optional game in Budapest on the final day for guests with late flights. You’ll also have the chance to attend enriching golf talks on board; practice your swing up on the Vista Deck; and refine your game with a golf pro, both on board and as you play. By the end of the cruise, you’ll have a whole collection of exciting new stories to tell friends back home!

Itinerary
Day 1 – Passau, Germany
Embark the luxurious Riverside Mozart and relax as your personal Butler helps you settle into your luxurious accommodations. Tonight, meet and dine with your onboard golf pro during a special welcome dinner.
Day 2 – Grein / Melk, Austria
Riverside Mozart arrives this morning in the tiny village of Grein. Grab your clubs and relax during the transfer to nearby Linz for 18 exciting holes at the St. Florian Golf Club, one of the oldest courses in Upper Austria. Sitting at the gates of Tillysburg Castle among rolling hills, this championship parkland course has hosted numerous international tournaments and earned a reputation as one of the best golf courses in Austria.
Day 3 – Vienna, Austria
Disembark in the Austrian capital and transfer to the gorgeous Wachau Valley for a round at the Diamond Country Club in Atzenbrugg. Designed by architect Jeremy Pern, this 18-hole European Tour course features impressive water hazards surrounding a 25-acre lake. In the evening, enjoy an incredible Riverside Signature Experience, a VIP after-hours evening at the stunning Belvedere Palace. Step inside this Baroque masterpiece for a private concert, Champagne reception, and a rare, crowd-free viewing of Klimt’s “The Kiss”. It’s an evening that epitomizes the grandeur and intimacy of this exceptional cruise.
Day 4 – Vienna, Austria
Your entire day is dedicated to the City of Music and its incomparable Baroque beauty. A Riverside choice selection of excursions includes panoramic sightseeing along the Ringstrasse, followed by a guided walk through the historical district. You can also visit the Habsburg rulers’ “summer retreat” at Schönbrunn Palace, ride an eBike around Prater Park, with a chance to take a ride on its famous Ferris wheel.
Day 5 – Vienna, Austria
One of Austria’s true golfing gems, Fontana Golf Club, is located just minutes from Vienna’s city centre, and is one of the top 10 golf courses in Europe, hosting the European Tour. This 7,368-yard Champions Course will challenge you with water hazards and bunkers, and your efforts will be rewarded with the beauty of a stunning 25-acre lake on the final two holes.
Day 6 – Esztergom / Visegrad / Budapest, Hungary
Overnight, your ship crossed the border into Hungary, and after breakfast you arrive in Esztergom, Hungarian capital from the 10th until the mid-13th century. Today’s 18 holes are at the foot of the Gerecse Mountains on the scenic Old Lake Golf Club championship course. Built on the former hunting grounds of the Duke of Eszterházy, this is one of Hungary’s first golf courses, and is still considered its best. You will rejoin your ship in Visegrad, in time for an on board dinner. Tonight, night owls will get a special treat as Riverside Mozart makes a spectacular entrance into Budapest amidst the shimmering lights.
Day 7 – Budapest, Hungary
After breakfast, disembark and enjoy Riverside’s complimentary transfer to the airport, train station, or a centrally located hotel. If you are staying in the city or have a later flight, you can pre-book an optional round at the challenging BOTANIQ Máriavölgyi Golf Club, a visually striking fairway designed by Austrian architect Hans Erhardt. Please note, this activity must be booked before embarking your cruise.
